One of our favorite things to do, other than helping businesses promote their service or brand is finding really neat stuff for our grandson. It just falls nicely into all the research we do. Our little boy is almost seven months and eating like a pro (we posted a 6 month photo earlier this month). He had a little bit of a hard time taking to green peas. And it was hard to fool him!! At one of his early feedings and introduction to gourmet greens, I mixed his peas with his rice cereal, he was cool with that. However, when I gave him the peas by itself, he gagged. At six months, he gagged! How to babies not like peas!! Well, he's finally getting the hang of it and is doing much better. And liking veggies.
So, while researching for neat baby stuff for Nate - and we found a lot - here are a few items we found, and wish we invented- maybe we can get to the manufacturer and get it into our industry!

The gyroscopic bowl from LOOPA on the left will keep snacks from spilling. The bowl oscillates and the handles are handy for mom or toddler. The Benders utensils are from BOON. I like the rounded ends. You can bend the spoon and fork to make feeding easy. It will also come in handy when baby tries to feed him or herself. We were able to get the set from Babies R Us.
We also think this product called Walking Wings (below) is a great mom aid and will help baby learn to walk safely. It will also be kind to (my) back.
These items are available online and in some specialty stores.
Update 3/1/08 : We got the Walking Wings (at Babies R Us) for our grandson today and it's really cool. He likes to jump - so this will really be a back saver, just as I thought!! I would like to think a grandparent invented this, but I'm not sure!!
