A recent article from AdAge indicates how advertising is an integral part of business survival. It will be a necessary medium for all businesses who will make it through our economic muddles waters. The article states that for the Hershey company (yes, those delicious chocolate confections) the quarter caps a strong year in which it has defied expectations and boosted ad spending, despite overwhelming cost pressures and very wary investors.
What business are you in? What are your advertising and marketing plans? How do you reach out to your targeted demographic?
Big corporations have the resources of advertising agencies to help them find the right mix as far as media outlets are concerned. However, small business owners tend to rely on themselves and don't really understand the logistics behind return on investment. Make every dollar count. Ask yourself the following questions:
- What's my budget
- Who's my demographic and how do I reach out
- How can I plan a mini-guerrilla marketing campaign
- How do I network
- How do I calculate Return on Investment
It is most certainly doable. And we love success stories and hope you are one of them!
