Superbowl Sunday - Halftime is Boss Time!

Sorry, job..step aside just for a second. The Boss is coming back!

Just read this article HERE about The Boss' halftime performance on Superbowl Sunday!  YES!!  I don't know about you but I'll be looking forward to more than commercials this coming weekend!

Bruce2 Bruce Springsteen's new cd, Working On A Dream was released on Tuesday, this week.  The band has also announced tour dates and tickets are going on sale at 10am, Monday.

San Jose, California, April 1st - Please don't call!  I want to get the best seats!! (note to big wigs - please let me know if you have a couple front row tickets to spare!)

Okay, so you know how I am a promotional product specialist, right?  You would think that I am immune to imprinted  t-shirts, hats, and other promo items.  But in reality, when it comes to this band and a few others I can count on one hand - I'm a total GROUPIE!  Un-shame my heart!  It's for the cause!

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait till the weekend to get my copy of the latest piece of musical art to please my weary soul - but I can still follow his BOSS BLOG which always has the latest and greatest.

See, we professionals have alter egos!  We pretend to know it all  when we're in the realm of our comfort zone and specialties, but in reality.. we haven't really grown up and we're fans like you too!

Seriously, though. Let me tell you, when famous people with high statures like Mr. Springsteen, you would think they would milk us for our concert money, right?  But - this is where this band -and this man = differ.  Tickets will cost us cash strapped humans around $35 - $95!!  That's WAY sweet!! Don't cry for me, poverty. Perhaps, if we're lucky enough to score some tickets, we can forget we're in this economic frenzy even if it's just for a couple blissful hours!  Now if they can only get rid of the resellers (aka scalpers)!!

Please hope I get the best seats in town, please pretty please with icing and a cherry on top!

Hoping to Catch a David Letterman Taping in NYC

i AM HOPING TO GET TICKETS TO THE LETTERMAN SHOW!  WISH ME LUCK!

Letterman_2

I've sent a request in for tickets.  I'm hoping they'll call and ask an easy question.  We will be in NYC in a couple of weeks for three days and already our daughter - Danielle - has planned a full schedule, including telling me where to eat.  We're just spending three days there enroute to Connecticut . . . and mainly because I'm really hoping to watch "Wicked".  But now it looks like all three days will be full of things to do and places to see.  Oh...the Big Apple.

Don't worry...I may take a break from blogging promotional product and tell you what it feels like being back in a city I haven't really visited in 14 years.  Should be interesting!!

Concert Tickets - And Great Memories

Before Ticketmaster went high tech and begun issuing tickets by email, we collected all our ticket stubs from our concerts. Put together, it reminds us of the FUN we had watching some REALLY COOL shows! Bowie, The Who, Neil Young, Clapton, McCartney, The Stones, Springsteen!  This was only the beginning! We collected hats and tshirts from all the shows - until we started making them!

Sometimes - low tech is more fun!
