The Land of Hopes and Dreams

Tomorrow there'll be sunshine

So goes the lyrics to Bruce Springsteen's song "The Land of Hopes and Dreams" which is somewhat apropos for the dire straits we find our country (and the world) in.   But with the barrage of news we're faced with daily, there has got to be opportunity if you are willing to work hard to find it. That's what I choose to believe and each day I try to make it happen. It's time to close ranks, be wise and make informed decisions, stir those creative and inventive juices and support each other.

We are ALL clinging to hope for a brighter tomorrow.  I don't know a single person who does not know someone affected by this downturn. It has become personal for everyone.   While we all anticipate Tuesday, November 4, there still is tomorrow to get through. Four days to be exact.  

Main Street and Wall Street are not the only streets in America. There is Technology Drive and Innovation Way.  We all just need to flip open our maps - band together and hold the biggest comeback in the history of the world.  American-style.

But first, we all have to VOTE.

Please do not rely on the news.  Forget the polls - if you switch channels, they are all different.

Don't wait for the last minute.  Make sure you know where your polling place is before Tuesday.  Plan on voting early in the day.  Remember that everyone is allowed TWO hours to vote so you can do it before you get to work.   

Keep your sticker.  You may want to pass it on to your children someday.

I don't know a single person who is not aware of what is happening in America today.  I don't remember when all the dominoes have tipped all at the same time.  We're hanging on by a thread because of sheer determination and hard work by everyone...and hopes for a BETTER tomorrow. We're all stuck on the corner of Main & Wall Street.  And the stoplights are flashing and no one seems to be minding it.

I don't want to inject my politics in here but there is one thing I can do as a citizen of this country..and that is to encourage you all to REGISTER TO VOTE  and if you're a busy person, please request to Vote By Mail. Branding Obama

I have to really give it up for the geniuses behind the campaign of Barack Obama.  I'm not talking about my politics or debating any issues here - but just BRANDING, marketing and the coming together of imagination  and technology.

Take for instance - the logo.  Everyone's seen it and can identify the Obama "O" logo within the 3 seconds allowed by Marketing text books.  But to let people customize it and add their own home-grown, grass roots 'flavor' is ingenious, in my opinion.

Here's a sample of a the logo with a child.  Simply said ''Here's The Future".  Pretty cool!  You got to give the markekters an A+ in reaching out to anyone.

Creatives ... you gotta love them!

Get Ready for the Olympics!

Are you ready for the Olympic games?  One of our local high school bands has the distinct honor of being invited to perform at the Beijing Olympics!  James Logan High School Band is all geared up and ready to go!  Congratulations to all the band members!

If you can't get to the Olympic games, you company still be part of the action!  We have the Nike Medalstand jackets available that the athletes will wear to medal ceremonies.  This is a really cool and lightweight jacket, the hood is made of parachute nylon.  Being that it will be hot in Beijing during the Games, this is a really nicely designed apparel.  The women's jacket is red/white; men's jacket is blue/white.
