Dear Bo ~ From One Citizen Canine to the First Dog

Dear Bo,

Before you officially begin your duty as First Dog, I'd like to give you some words of advise.  My name is Newman ~ and I'm a citizen puppy (sorry, couldn't vote yet but would've).   I have found a happy home, just like you.  I'm thrilled beyond all imaginable WOOFS  that you'll have two wonderful children to run around with and a big yard to play fetch in. I get to slide in my wood floors - make sure you do that, it's so doggone fun!

I haven't gone to finishing school like you ~ but I've managed to communicate fairly well with my family and can usually tell them what I need. You will, too.  Give 'em time.   I need you to know that the rest of us in Dogdom are proud of you for what you've accomplished and we'll be rooting for you for the entire time you get to be in the big white house. Yup!  That one!

It's a Dog's Life .. after all

People around you will be speaking a lot in code and it's mostly stuff you won't be caring about. Trust me - you don't wanna ask, don't give them that "huh?" look. Stay dog forever.

Don't mind the press, they'll be in your face with those cameras and taking your pictures and someone may EVEN begin a website in your name (I see it's already parked free!).  I'm on YouTube myself and I may see you - or perhaps your now famous siblings there.  I'll bet you a box of Greenies that you'll have a thousand dog followers on Twitter (oh Gawd Dawg)!   Do these humans have a life?  (hmm Portuguese water dog, eh?).  Cockapoo here.

Hopefully, they'll know that all you wanna do is chase a few good chewy toys (ask for a Blue KONG!! ), play a fun game of Fetch,  hide your treats in between the sofa cushions and chase your tail. And you'll wanna sleep a lot and snuggle at night. It's what WE do!

It's going to be alright. I promise.  Don't be nervous.  You'll be ready on Day One.  Just stick to who you were before you even got to where you'll be.  It's just 4 years, or 8. I'm told that it will be an adventure of a lifetime!  I wish you all the happiness and wonderful memories with your new BFFs.

We Took a Break for Newman

Hi there!  We took a little bit of a break to welcome a new addition to our family.  We picked him up the day before yesterday and have been struggling with names.   Hard to believe for someone who dreams up tag lines all the time.  But after a couple of days..we're ready to introduce our little puppy to the world.

Meet BARKLEY   NEWMAN Magnusson Johnson.  He's six weeks old, a cocker spaniel/poodle (cockapoo) with light brown markings on his back and ears.   He's a sweetheart with blue eyes.  He was originally going to be called ''Barkley" but we changed his name to Newman because of his pretty eyes.

We are now going to be looking for everything save for this little buddy of ours.  Watch for pictures of him testing out pet promotional products!!
