Earth Day 2008 is on April 22, 2008. There are many MANY ways for you to be involved now more than ever. Over a billion people will be taking part in events all over the world. Find an event near you and be part of this movement, if not for yourself, for your children. For an event close to you, please visit EARTHDAY2008.
Find ONE way to participate and be an Earth Activist, including a simple thing as signing a petition on the site to make your congressperson know you mean business! You can change ALL your lightbulbs at home. You can insist on recycling programs in your schools and businesses. 
Being eco-aware is a start but it is not enough anymore. We need to ACT and DO SOMETHING and INSIST on actions from those around us. You will be hearing more and more about earth-friendlies and eco-alternatives between now and then. We can't become numb, we cannot pretend we don't hear. Please consider this a 911 call to keep this one and only planet viable. Seriously.
