The Best Promotional Products for 2008

2008 was a very green year.  Green in terms of promotional product inquiries, sales and interests.  We started this blog almost a year ago after we attended the PPAI tradeshow in January.  We knew then that environmentally appropriate gifts would be popular and we were pleasantly surprised at what soon unfolded.

When we began our blog, not much was said about BPA Free drinkware.  We saw it very early on, beginning with baby bottles (thanks to our little man, Nate!).  It soon made it's way into the promo industry and we picked up early.  As a result, these safe, Bisphenol-A free products were our hottest sellers!  Universities and corporations were quick to engage.  We have seen aluminum bottles come right on the heels of Camelbak bottles (first to be FREE).  Sigg bottles were once hot, and then surprisingly were replaced by similar looking bottles.  I was surprised that they stopped taking custom orders on their website.

USB Flash drives remained a much sought-after promotional gifts especially for our high tech clients. Corporate Holiday Gift Guide - Today's Feature

A recent CNBC ARTICLE recently published results of a Batallia-Winston annual corporate holiday survey which states that about 29 percent of offices will be giving gifts to their employees, but this is 3 percent MORE than last year, according to the Battalia-Winston annual corporate holiday survey.

Unique is always a best-seller.  There are times, however, when we are well withing reason to Go Back to Basics.  We call them BARE NECESSITIES.

Pens - various levels depending on the targeted audience.  Typically, high end pens are used to express gratitude and appreciation while inexpensive pens are handed out at tradeshows.  Price range varies depending on features and manufacturers.  Original designs, patent pending or fun but useful are sometimes knocked off by cheap imitation, so make sure you sample and use a pen you're considering before you make an investment.  A good Ad Specialities company will be happy to help you make your informed decision.

Time, Projected

A few years ago, I worked with a client and put some corporate gift baskets together and featured a projection clock from Oregon Scientific.  The theme of the event was "Race To The Finish" so the company gifted the Ferrari clocks in bright red.  That was my first exposure to projection clocks and I was hooked since then.  Before I even wake up in the morning, all I need to do is open one eye and look at the ceiling and know how much more snooze time I have.

Big On Presentation

Exquisite Color and Leather

I love great leather.  I love color.  Combined, I absolutely love Graphic Image and their books, journals, frames, travel accessories.
